DBS Credit Card “HKTaxi First Ride Offer” Terms and Conditions

  1. DBS Credit Card “HKTaxi First Ride Offer” (the “Promotion”) is only applicable to the principal cardholders (“Cardholders”) of DBS Credit Card and Co-branded Cards (excluding Private Label Card and Business Card) (“Applicable Credit Cards”) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank").
  2. The promotion period is from 1 June 2022 to 31 July 2022, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
  3. To be eligible to enjoy the offer of this Promotion, Cardholders are required to fulfill all the following requirements:
    1. Install the DBS Card+ mobile application (“DBS Card+”) and complete the registration of DBS Card+ account, and turn on the notification in DBS Card+ More > App & Security Settings > Push Notification > “InstaRedeem” before conducting any Eligible Transaction for participating in the Promotion. Cardholders who have already registered DBS Card+ do not need to register again;
    2. Install HKTaxi mobile application (“HKTaxi”) and add the Applicable Credit Card to HKTaxi for payment;
    3. Register “InstaRedeem” function at HKTaxi with the added Applicable Credit Card; and
    4. Reserve taxi or select “Pay for Street-Hail” via HKTaxi and settle payment via the added Applicable Credit Card after the ride (payment made via Apple Pay or Google Pay is not applicable to this Promotion).
  4. The Promotion is only applicable to Cardholders who have never completed a transaction through HKTaxi with any Applicable Credit Card since 1 January 2020.
  5. After completing the steps set out at Clause 3 above, Cardholders who complete their first single transaction of HK$50 or above at HKTaxi with the Applicable Credit Card during the Promotion Period ("Eligible Transaction") will be entitled to HK$25 “InstaRedeem” amount (“Offer”). Cardholder can redeem the Offer for that Eligible Transaction through the Red "InstaRedeem" button revealed on the Eligible Transaction after the transaction is posted and displayed in Spending of DBS Card+. Cardholders can use the Offer received to set off the amount payable for that transaction via the “InstaRedeem” function of DBS Card+. The Offer must be used on or before 14 August 2022 after spending, otherwise it will be considered as giving up the Offer.
  6. Each eligible Card+ Account can enjoy the Offer for once during the Promotion Period.
  7. Offer quota is set up 2,500 quota and is on a first-come, first-served basis according to the time record of the taxi fare transaction. Quota full message will be shown on DBS Website (go.dbs.com/hk-hktaxi) if quota of the Offer is full.
  8. The Offer of this Promotion cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with other “InstaRedeem” promotion offers/reward offered by the Bank and the merchant. If a Cardholder’s spending meets the requirements of other "InstaRedeem" promotion offer/reward at the same time, the Bank has the right to determine which offer/reward to be awarded in respect of that spending. When the spending has already been awarded under the Offer of this Promotion, the same spending cannot be awarded again under other "InstaRedeem" promotions and vice versa. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right of final decision.
  9. The Bank has absolute discretion to determine the validity of a transaction and the eligibility of the Offer based on the details (including time and date) of the relevant transaction in the Bank’s record. If there is any discrepancy between the transaction record of a Cardholder and that of the Bank, the Bank’s record shall be conclusive.
  10. Offer is only applicable to Cardholders whose Applicable Credit Card accounts are valid, not in default and in good standing (as determined by the Bank at its sole discretion) during the Promotion Period when the Offer is issued. If the status of a Cardholder’s Applicable Credit Card account is not in good standing, the Bank reserves the right to disqualify the Cardholder from participating in the Promotion and/or enjoying the Offer.
  11. If there is abuse/non-compliance by the Cardholder in this Promotion, he/she cannot enjoy the Offer. The Bank will not offset the spending or where the offsetting has been affected, the Bank may debit the value from the Cardholder's account(s) without prior notice and/or take action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  12. The Bank and HKTaxi App Limited may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Promotion. In case of any dispute, the Bank and HKTaxi reserves the right of final decision.
  13. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.

DBS Credit Card “HKTaxi InstaRedeem Promotion” Terms and Conditions

  1. DBS Credit Card “HKTaxi InstaRedeem Promotion” (the “Promotion”) is applicable to the principal cardholders (“Cardholders”) of DBS Credit Card and Co-branded Cards (excluding DBS Black American Express® Card, DBS Live Fresh Card, Business Card and Private Label Card) (“Applicable Credit Cards”) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank") who choose to participate in DBS$ Redemption Scheme under the DBS$ Reward Scheme. This Promotion is not applicable to supplementary cardholders.
  2. The promotion period is from 1 June 2022 to 31 July 2022, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
  3. To be eligible to enjoy the offer of this Promotion, Cardholders are required to fulfill all the following requirements: a. Install the DBS Card+ mobile application (“DBS Card+”) and complete the registration of DBS Card+ account, and turn on the notification in DBS Card+ More > App & Security Settings > Push Notification > “InstaRedeem” before conducting any Eligible Transaction for participating in the Promotion. Cardholders who have already registered DBS Card+ do not need to register again; 2. Install HKTaxi mobile application (“HKTaxi”) and add Applicable Credit Card to HKTaxi for payment; 3. Register “InstaRedeem” function at HKTaxi with the added Applicable Credit Card; and 4. Reserve taxi or select “Pay for Street-Hail” via HKTaxi and settle payment via the added Applicable Credit Card after the ride (payment made via Apple Pay or Google Pay is not applicable to this Promotion).
  4. After completing the steps set out at Clause 3 above, Cardholders shall be entitled to offset the taxi fare spending with the Applicable Credit Card during the Promotion Period ("Eligible Transaction") at the rate of DBS$1 to HK$1.25 (equivalent to 20% off) (“Offer”) at HKTaxi.
  5. Cardholders must click “OK” on the Payment Success page of HKTaxi after paying the taxi fare to receive the “InstaRedeem” notification at HKTaxi to enjoy the Offer. Cardholders have to click into that notification right after receiving it to redeem the Offer at HKTaxi. If not, Cardholders can redeem the Offer for that Eligible Transaction through the Red "InstaRedeem" button revealed on the Eligible Transaction after the transaction is posted and displayed in Spending of DBS Card+. Cardholders can use the “InstaRedeem” amount received to set off the amount payable for that transaction via the “InstaRedeem” function of DBS Card+. The Offer must be used on or before 14 August 2022; Otherwise, it will be considered as giving up the Offer.
  6. Since DBS$ is in integral, if a Cardholder would like to fully set off the amount payable for taxi fare, the Bank will first round down the required DBS$ to the nearest integer, then convert it into HK$ amount at the rate of DBS$1 to HK$1.25. For avoidance of doubt, please refer to the below calculation of B and C in the illustration using DBS$ for reference:

* After the adjustment of decimal places, under certain circumstances, Cardholders may not be able to fully set off the amount payable for the taxi fare.

  1. Besides fully set off the amount payable for taxi fare, Cardholders can also choose to use DBS$ to set off part of it. For avoidance of doubt, please refer to the below calculation of B and C in the illustration using DBS$ for reference:

  1. Offer is subject to quota and is on a first-come, first-served basis according to the time record of the taxi fare transaction. When the quota is full, the Offer will no longer be available.
  2. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other “InstaRedeem” promotion offers offered by the Bank and HKTaxi. If the taxi fare spending at HKTaxi is eligible to enjoy the 5 Rides and Get 1 Free Offer (as defined in the “DBS Credit Card “HKTaxi 5 Rides and Get 1 Free Offer”” Terms and Conditions) under “DBS Credit Card “HKTaxi 5 Rides and Get 1 Free Offer”, 5 Rides and Get 1 Free Offer will be automatically granted to the Cardholders and the Cardholder cannot enjoy this Offer for the said transaction at the same time.
  3. The Offer of this Promotion cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with other “InstaRedeem” promotion offers/reward offered by the Bank and the merchants. If a Cardholder’s spending meets the requirements of other "InstaRedeem" promotion offer/reward at the same time, the Bank has the right to determine which offer/reward to be awarded in respect of that spending. When the spending has already been awarded under the Offer of this Promotion, the same spending cannot be awarded again under other "InstaRedeem" promotions and vice versa. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right of final decision.
  4. Offer is only applicable to Cardholders whose Applicable Credit Card accounts are valid, not in default and in good standing (as determined by the Bank at its sole discretion) during the Promotion Period and when the Offer is issued.
